Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Grove Landscaping is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to learn about our work, request a quote, and get in touch with us, no matter how they browse the web.
Standard we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
What we've done
- Descriptive text alternatives ("alt text") on meaningful images.
- Semantic page structure with clear headings and landmarks (a single main content area, header, and footer on every page).
- A "Skip to main content" link so keyboard users can bypass navigation.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, buttons, and forms with visible focus indicators.
- Form fields with visible labels and required-field indicators.
- Color combinations chosen with contrast in mind, and information that is never conveyed by color alone.
- Respect for the operating system's "reduced motion" setting on animations and parallax effects.
- Responsive layout that works at common screen sizes, including phones and tablets.
- Accessible names on icon-only buttons (menu toggle, social links, carousel controls).
Known limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We are aware that some areas may still fall short, including but not limited to:
- Some embedded third-party content (social feeds, maps, review widgets) may not fully meet our standards because we don't control the underlying code.
- Older project photos may have shorter alt text than newer ones.
- We do not currently caption background or decorative video.
We are working to address these and welcome feedback on anything we've missed.
Assistive technology
Our website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with built-in assistive technologies including VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android), Narrator (Windows), and common screen readers such as NVDA and JAWS.
